7 Weight Loss Tips for Women in their 30's

Aug 31, 2023

Are you trying to lose weight in your thirties?

You’re not the only one!

But, if you read this article, you’ll know how to be successful. Because you can’t keep doing the same things that worked in your 20s, those things will not work.

Instead of cutting calories, overdoing cardio, or drinking diet soda to stay full, try this:

1. Walking. Sounds basic, but walking is an excellent way to keep your metabolism firing and hormones balanced. Aim for 8-10k steps daily.

2. Strength Training. Choose this over cardio. Try 2-4 sessions per week, 30+ minutes each, using heavy (for you!) weights, and focus on major muscle groups like glutes, quads, hamstrings, biceps, back, and shoulders.

3. Get Sleep. You need 8+ hours of deep sleep. Your days of being able to hustle & grind after a week of all-nighters are over. Get the good rest you deserve.

4. Eat Protein. Get at least 0.6g of protein per pound of body weight. I like to think of it as 20-30g of protein per meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

5. Drink Water. Water keeps everything working, from increasing your metabolism to clearing up your skin, improving digestion, and relieving muscle soreness. Aim for 75oz per day, more if you exercise, or it’s a hot day.

6. Use Supplements. I use probiotics every morning, take a multivitamin daily, and other supplements like collagen, magnesium, and ashwagandha in addition to my balanced nutrition.

7. Get Help. Losing weight after 35 isn’t always easy. Sometimes it requires an expert to assess your current health and create a plan custom to your needs.
