I’ve got a fun fact for ya…your metabolism isn’t ‘fixed’. You can change it.

 

I’ll say it again:

 

You can CHANGE your metabolism!

 

You can literally build your own metabolism based on your specific needs, goals, and preferences.

 

Your metabolism adapts to the conditions it’s placed under.

 

Eat 1200 cals a day, you’ll build a 1200 cal/day metabolism.

Eat 1500 cals a day, you’ll build a 1500 cal/day metabolism.

 

Personally?

 

I’ve built myself a 2200 cal/day metabolism because I enjoy food, I like feeling energized, and I am happy at my current body composition.

 

I don’t want to feel restricted or feel like I must be ‘on a diet’ 24/7.

 

I know what my BMR (basal metabolic rate) and TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) are, and I’ve created a healthy metabolism that can easily manage eating 2200 calories every day.

And here’s the thing, you can do it too!

 

Nibbling on lettuce, sipping on diet sodas, and avoiding social events is no way to live.

 

Eating less isn’t the answer, sis.
