Expectations v. Reality

It’s time for a little…Expectation vs. Reality. You ready?!?

 

Here’s the expectation: Dropping calories, cutting carbs, upping cardio, losing weight, waking up skinny!

 

And the reality: Managing macros, lifting heavy, working hard, being patient, losing fat, feeling great!

 

Most women think that as soon as they drop calories and do more exercise, they’ll achieve the body of the woman they saw promoting the diet and exercise plan.

 

Reality is, it’s very likely that the results they’re chasing won’t come from the “8-week transformation” program they’ve bought, but rather, from years and years of hard work and consistency.

 

Sure, you’ll likely drop a few pounds in the first week or two of a new program, but after that, your results will slow down (totally normal) and you’ll have to lean into your consistency to keep it all moving forward.

 

It took me 4 years to really build muscle that actually looked like muscle, plus another 2 years of consistent macro tracking, to be able to learn how to maintain my weight in a sustainable way.

 

I know it sounds like forever, but the time will pass anyway and in many ways, longer is better. Much better.

 

It’s great to have big dreams, but it’s essential to ground yourself in reality too!
