Are you Overthinking and Under-Implementing?

When I was at my heaviest, I was so frustrated I was willing to try ANYTHING to get my weight under control.

I was constantly looking for new diets, new workout plans, and new foods that would move the scale, even just a little bit, in my favor.

I was totally overthinking it!

 Here are some of the things I was unnecessarily focused on:

  • Time of day I ate or exercised
  • Cutting things out like sugar, flour, or carbs
  • Calories on the package
  • Calories burned on the treadmill counter
  • Eating ‘fresh’ vs frozen
  • Choosing organic foods
  • Confusing my muscles
  • Using the right supplements

Looking back, I laugh because so many of those things do absolutely NOTHING for long-term sustainability.

Now that I’ve lost 154lbs and coached thousands of clients on their own weight loss journey using macro nutrition, I know the things that actually work so I can encourage my clients to focus on the right things and use them effectively. 

Here’s what I encourage my clients to implement on the regular:

  • Counting macros and tracking regularly
  • Staying hydrated
  • Getting good quality rest
  • Reducing and managing stress
  • Lifting heavyweights
  • Being patient and consistent
  • Moving throughout the day (NEAT)
  • Choosing whole foods from ALL food groups

And most importantly, having a guided accountability system, like a group coaching program or 1:1 macro coach to turn to when things feel hard or confusing.
